Biokinetics provides on-site ergonomic assessment services to fit your needs. Our ergonomics team will come on-site to provide the following:
Incident review for OSHA reportables/recordables
Biokinetics can help to determine following an incident whether there are appropriate changes that can be made to either procedures/protocols or equipment to proactively reduce the risk of future injuries during specific tasks.
Workspace modifications
Biokinetics can provide services to assist in modifying a workspace to fit the specific needs of an employee. We do this by interviewing the employee about the tasks performed at their workstation as well as any issues that may have regarding performance of these tasks. We then make detailed measurements of the workspace as well as taking detailed anthropometric measurements in order to provide the best solution to improve workability.
Assistance with accomodations
This service is similar to our customized job description service. Biokinetics can perform a thorough review of the essential postural and physical demands for a variety of job titles within your workplace for comparison against any physical limitations/restrictions that have been placed on an employee by their physician. This service may include suggestions for workspace modifications based on the specific needs of the employee.
Customized Material Handling
Biokinetics will come on-site to review the essential material handling (physical) tasks performed by your workers. Using photographs and video collected during this on-site visit, we will create a customized material handling training program specific to the needs of your employees. In the past, we have found that using specific examples of the employees performing their work is much more effective than stock photo images. We provide this task to several companies as well as providing this service at the annual education/training sessions for the employees of the municipal sewerage authorities in New Jersey.
Stretch and Flex Programming
Biokinetics will create and provide customized on-site Stretch and Flex programming to fit the needs of your organization. We provide certified fitness professionals who will come on-site to provide classes that help to improve the strength and flexibility of your employees based on their job demands as well as any additional needs that are identified.
